Welcome To The Ship-Shape Blog : )

Much of our online sharing has been inspired by or passed on from the late Neville King, Ship-Shape’s Chairman who founded our company in 1994. He offered bespoke cleaning advice from product selection to cleaning application.  He said that ‘cleaning is a science, and in order to do it in the quickest and most economical way it is very important to know how to use the right materials in the correct environments to get the best results’.

At Ship-Shape, we’re always happy to explain how our products work, advise the best places and situations to use them and discuss any safety critical details to ensure all cleaning is done in the most efficient way possible. Please contact us for bespoke advice so we can help you to keep your clients happy and your businesses Ship-Shape!

Happy Birthday Us!

Today marks 25 years since we founded Ship-Shape Products Ltd!

We were founded on 29th March 1994 by the late Neville King, with his eldest son Geoff (now our MD). Neville started in the cleaning industry aged 19 as a window cleaner and grew his skills and knowledge from there on. Happy birthday us!

Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody

Story Time

There’s a story that’s being doing the rounds for years now that we’d like to share with you all today. It’s one that the late Neville King, who was our Chairman, was a fan of. He often used words like ‘Twas’ or came up with funny limericks that made us think he was our family’s version of Shakespeare! We’re not sure who to credit this tale with but it certainly makes you think, especially about whose responsibility it is to clean what!

‘This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could do it but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, as it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.’

If you have a witty limerick, funny photo or interesting story about cleaning then please send it via our email address shipshapeltd@btconnect.com* and we may feature it on our website or social media accounts!

*Please put ‘Ship-Shape Website’ in the subject line. Thank you.
